One day, a rich hunter, riding across a bridge, pushed a young shepherdess into the mud, shouting that everyone should know their place. Luckily, the girl managed to catch hold of a willow branch, but broke it off. A young peddler passing by picked up the shepherdess and stuck the broken branch into the ground, wishing that it would become a good pipe for the lords. The peddler became rich, bought the estate of a ruined gentleman and married the former shepherdess. Their descendant received the title of baron. The years passed, and after a hundred years, the baron's family almost forgot their ancestors. But one day, at a ball at the estate, a pipe carved from that very willow branch began to play...
