The lullabies included in this collection were recorded in the 1990s and 2000s. They were shared by women aged 60-80 - one of the last generations of grandmothers who lullabied their grandchildren "the old-fashioned way": rocking the baby in a cradle for hours and singing incessantly.
This is a real folk poetry of sleep: tender and bright, full of colorful images and wonderful creatures. Together with the lulling parent, the child is put to sleep by gentle sleep and drowsiness, the eerie bogeyman and bogeyman. Bunnies, cooing and ermines gather at the child's cradle, and cheerful pictures of his or her future life flash before the eyes of the falling asleep child.
