The book includes three tales about bosom friends – the elephant Bo and the mouse Felix.

"A Story with Transformations"

In the first story, Bo the elephant becomes small and looks at the world through the eyes of his friend Felix the mouse. He begins to notice things he hadn't paid attention to before, and the world opens up to him in a surprising way. It turns out that the stamens of flowers look like drumsticks, and an anthill is a very complex structure. The baby elephant swims across a puddle on a raft, flies over a river and forest on the wing of Aunt Varvara, Felix's familiar crow. Having become big again, he is happy about what has happened to him, but he firmly decides for himself: "It's good that everything in the world is exactly as it is."

"The Big Wash"

After the Day of Miracle Transformations comes the Day of the Big Wash. Bo and Felix start washing and whip up so much snow-white foam that it covers the entire city. Looking out into the street, the residents think it has started snowing. Snow in the middle of summer – isn’t it a miracle? Felix calls the sprinkler to wash away the foam. So the friends wash the entire street along with the clothes!

"About three secrets"

In the beautiful season of golden balls and ripe apples, Bo confesses to Felix that he has a secret. On the way to the park where Bo's secret is hidden, they meet a mole. The mole also has a secret. Then they see a raccoon, he has his own secret. It turns out that there are many secrets in the world, one better than the other! And to see them, you just have to stop and look closely.

This book was conceived and drawn by the artist Alena Chernaya. At first, stories were born that she told to her little daughter and other children. The heroes of these stories are never bored, and miracles happen to them in the most ordinary places: at home, on the street, in the park. Then the idea of the book arose and illustrations appeared. In 2019, the series "About the Big and the Small" won the "Book Image" competition in the "Author's Book" nomination.
