The notebook contains materials for the quest - weather tables and graphs, text assignments, forms for creating assignments on your own.
Who is this quest for? The quest introduces students in grades 2-4 to such a type of information presentation as graphs and tables.
What do such tasks develop? The ability to read graphs, the ability to correlate a graph and a table about the same city.
Where to use these tasks? In math or world studies lessons in grades 2–6.
How is it different from other math assignments? All assignments require students to be personally involved. Some search for their city, others search for the city where their friends, grandparents live, or the city they visited. The teacher can ask students in advance which cities they visited in the summer, where their parents or grandparents are from, and add 4–8 cities, describing the weather for them in a table and a graph.
What are the advantages? Many children now rarely look at the thermometer and have no experience keeping their own weather calendar. Therefore, they do not encounter graphs themselves and have a poor understanding of the information presented in this form.
