If you have ever tried to ask a three-year-old child, you will immediately understand - here it is, the truth of life. When a child has decided that he wants something, then practically nothing can convince him otherwise. There is just one BUT... emotionally disputing any arguments of adults, the child is not ready to perceive the information that adults provide as arguments. "I want it, and now" overshadows everything else. And having received what he wants, the child often suddenly understands that this is not what he wanted at all and could not appreciate all the consequences of realizing his dream.
A real game unfolds on the pages of the book. The little reader becomes a co-author of the book, because on the pages there are only the "entreaties" of the dove, one part of the dialogue. The dove addresses the reader, and after each remark of the dove, some kind of answer is needed. The child suddenly finds himself on the other side - on the side of the adult. And he sees the situation completely differently!
This is already the third book by Mo Willems (a world-famous children's illustrator and one of the creators of Sesame Street) translated into Russian.
