In a detective story, there are two things that are most important: an interesting mystery and smart characters who solve it. This book, like the entire series, has both. Brother and sister Lucas and Emma move to a villa that once belonged to their great-uncle. It turns out that their grandfather was a real super detective! The guys are very lucky - because he left a notebook with useful tips and professional tricks. And already on the day of their arrival, they have their first client - a lady who asks to find her missing husband. It is clear that Emma, Lucas and their dad Mick will not miss such an opportunity. A great adventure begins for the newly minted detectives. After all, the lady actually turned out to be a hardened criminal, and the so-called husband printed counterfeit money. In this detective story, there are no chilling murders and blue corpses with tattoos. The main characters do not have superpowers, they do not use weapons or methods of violence. But they are very smart, work well in pairs and, let's be honest, cope with the investigation more organized and faster than adults. They notice small but important details, can easily get potential witnesses to talk, secretly follow a criminal and generally easily stick their noses in where an adult would not risk. The language of the book is simple and, at the same time, absolutely childish and adolescent, which is undoubtedly the merit of the translator Pavel Frenkel.
