"Cars All Around" is an incredibly rich and detailed Wimmelbuch, focusing on cars and racing cars, trucks and semi-trailers, buses and trains, various special vehicles, tractors, airplanes, helicopters, boats and a great many other machines and mechanisms that drive, fly and swim.
The book will tell about one day in the life of two dozen main characters - all of them need to be found on each spread of the book. Some of them walk, some travel by car, but their routes intersect every now and then, the plot lines intersect, forming a single story.
Wherever our heroes are, life is in full swing around them. We see them at a busy intersection in the city center, at an amusement park, at a rally, at a film studio, or on an evening embankment. Journalists Bob and Rob are always in the center of events: here they are reporting on putting out a fire, and here they are already at the scene of a car accident; here they are interviewing a stuntman at a car show, and here an actor at a film studio. Charlie the dog never misses a chance to enjoy a sausage - he will steal it from builders who have sat down to have a snack, or he will beg it from his owner or a compassionate passerby. Postman Victor delivers parcels all day long in his postal van, pizza delivery man Antonio rides a moped, and tourists Alice and Felix are used to walking with backpacks on their shoulders.
An attentive reader will find dozens of funny and kind stories in this book! Looking at wimmelbooks, that is, books without words, children develop observation skills, learn to see and notice details, trace logical connections between events, and independently compose a story based on pictures.
Wimmelbuch is a book for any age. The youngest ones enjoy looking at the bright large objects, older children enthusiastically complete tasks to find characters on each spread, and the most advanced readers (including adults) notice the smallest details and find the "artist's jokes" that no Wimmelbuch can do without.
