"An Inconvenient Place" is a joint project by publicist Jonathan Littell and photographer Antoine d'Agata about Babi Yar, historical memory and Russian war crimes in Ukraine in the 2000s. The manuscript of the book was completed two days before Russia's attack on Ukraine. In November 2022, Littell returned to the text to rewrite it in accordance with the new reality, in which Bucha had already happened, Mariupol was occupied and new crimes of the Russian military in Ukraine are becoming known every day.
